Our Primary Wing

Carolyn FoxI have been a headteacher for 10 years, having been appointed to the Infant School in 2010, subsequently becoming the Executive Headteacher of Rise Park Academy Trust in 2014 when our two academies were opened, from which time they have gone from strength to strength, achieving two ‘Ofsted Good Provider’ judgements in May 2017. I am currently the Executive Headteacher of the Primary Wing of the SFAET.

Our popular and over-subscribed early years centre was opened in 2013, followed by an upper junior school block in 2015 and an innovative nursery provision in 2017.

The Local Governing Committee, Senior Leadership Team, staff and pupils are very proud of our broad and varied provision, which is ably supported by a very positive wider school community. Our curriculum vision is based upon our “Learning Powers” of Respect, Inspiration, Self-Belief, Excellence, Passion, Achievement, Resilience and Knowledge, which also encompasses our three principal values of “Respect, Belief, Excellence”.

We continue to work within the Success For All Educational Trust and build upon our professional relationship between the primary and secondary wings of the trust. We can gain many significant benefits from this association, including effective transitions from the primary to the secondary phase, exciting teaching and learning opportunities, continuing staff career development and the advantage of being able to utilise economies of scale as part of an extended and developing multi-academy trust.

We welcome all parents, visitors and agencies to work with us in partnership, in order to continue to enhance and promote our growing educational offer.

We look forward to meeting you and working with you.

Rise Park Infant School

We are very proud of the ethos we have created at Rise Park, we take great pride in the strong relationships we form with parents and carers in order to achieve the very best for our children. Our school is a very happy place where children feel safe and valued.

The addition of a school Nursery has strengthened our Early Years provision and enabled us to ensure a positive and smooth transition to full time school. We take time to get to know our families so we are fully equipped to meet the needs of individual pupils. Our Nursery and Reception leads work closely together and have a shared Early Years vision with the emphasis very much on child-led learning through play and exploration. Outdoor learning reflects the indoor classrooms and is accessible in all weathers.

As children move into year one, continuous provision is still very much a part of the curriculum. Children are able to participate in a wide range of creative and cross-curricular activities and this continues in to year two.

We have a dedicated team of staff who are committed to ensuring we provide a high standard of education for all of our pupils. There is a real sense of community across our schools and we work closely together to ensure pupils develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to enable them to succeed.

Rise Park Junior School

We pride ourselves in offering a broad, balanced and creative curriculum to ensure that pupils learn from a wide range of exciting experiences. During the year, children are involved in a variety of themed days and weeks, including Arts Week, Science Week, Book Week, Spy Day and Egyptian Day, and we often hold assemblies and workshops for children to participate in, such as road safety, knife crime, an author workshop and online safety. Pupils also attend an educational visit each academic year, with Year six attending a residential trip to prepare them for their transition to secondary school.

During their time at Rise Park Junior School, pupils have the opportunity to take on a range of leadership roles and responsibilities. This gives them the opportunity to develop real-life skills and give them an opportunity to voice their opinions, in order to help develop a school of their own. Pupils also have the opportunity to attend a range of extra-curricular activities to pursue their interests and enhance their skills.

We are proud of the strong community links that we have made with others in our local area. We have also formed positive relationships with our parents and carers who are regularly invited into school during themed weeks and to concerts and events, as we understand the importance of their role in developing their child’s education.

At Rise Park Academies, we have created a happy and welcoming ethos, for our whole school community, where parents, pupils and staff feel happy and valued. We look forward to welcoming you to our community so that your child can develop in our supportive community.
