Anthony Henry, Redden Court School

Anthony is currently the proud Head Teacher of aRedden Court School.  He is passionate about education, young people and fostering an environment where individuals flourish and make positive contributions to society.  A key feature of Anthony's leadership is to promote opportunities beyond the classroom that develop friendships, leadership and character. He is an ambitious leader who invests in staff as well as students in the hope of making everyone better. Anthony has an excellent record of building positive school culture in which everyone thrives.  

His vision is to provide educational experiences which are engaging and that develop life skills and provide endless opportunities to pursue a bright, prosperous and happy future. 

Anthony is an excellent practitioner who challenges colleagues to be reflective in their daily practice to support school improvement. Anthony is passionate about school improvement and has recent knowledge of the good to outstanding Ofsted journey.  Anthony is a personable, well organised leader who believes in the power of education to transform the lives of young people. 

Stuart Brooks, Sanders Draper School

As Headteacher of Sanders Draper, a school where we proudly encourage every student to "be the best I can be." It is an honor and a significant responsibility to lead our thriving and ambitious school, guided by our core values of Resilience, Achievement, and Family. These values are not only central to our students' development but also underpin my personal growth and our collaborative work across the Trust. Our unwavering commitment and strong partnership ensure that every student flourishes in a safe, supportive, and high-achieving environment.

From the outset, I was eager to collaborate with a Trust that demonstrated proven experience and knowledge in driving positive school improvement within Havering, coupled with a passionate commitment to ensuring the best provision for all. The level of support and cooperation between our schools has been exceptional, and Sanders Draper has benefited immensely from this partnership. We have particularly gained from the expertise and support provided in various areas, most notably in teaching and learning, as well as leadership development. This invaluable assistance from the Trust undoubtedly played a crucial role in us achieving our recent "Good" grading from Ofsted.

On a personal note, I have found the opportunity to work closely with other Headteachers and the CEO to be incredibly beneficial. This collaborative environment has not only provided invaluable support but also fostered significant networking opportunities. I believe this experience has contributed significantly to my own professional development and progression, and I am very grateful for it. To enhance my leadership effectiveness, I have pursued ongoing professional development, including the National Professional Qualification for Executive Leadership (NPQEL). This rigorous programme has equipped me with advanced skills in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and school improvement, enabling me to lead with confidence and clarity while keeping our values at the forefront.

In summary, my role as Headteacher is shaped by a deep commitment to personal growth, collaborative leadership, and the effective use of central services, all grounded firmly in the values of Resilience, Achievement, and Family. Together with a passionate and dedicated team, who strive to provide the best education that prepares our pupils for a successful future full of opportunities.

Hayley Durrant, Rise Park Academies

Hayley Duurant has served as a Headteacher for eight years and joined Rise Park Academies as Executive Headteacher in September 2024, overseeing both the Infant and Junior Schools. Having grown up in Havering, she has dedicated more than 27 years to working in education. Rise Park is the fifth school she has contributed to and marks her second headship.

Hayley’s leadership approach is firmly child-centred, ensuring that every decision made across the school community places pupils at the heart. She is passionate about guiding schools forward on their individual journeys and believes strongly in the power of an aspirational, determined, and collaborative team to achieve excellence.

Lee Raftery, The Royal Liberty School

I am honoured to be the Headteacher at The Royal Liberty School, a forward-thinking secondary school dedicated to ensuring success for all our students. I believe that an excellent education is transformative, changing lives and making the local community a stronger, safer place to live for the generations of the future.  

 I firmly believe that continuous professional development is essential to ensure all leaders and teachers provide the best possible education and that learning is a lifelong journey for everyone within our school community. I hold a Masters Degree in Leadership and Management as well as a NPQSL, NPQH and most recently have completed the NPQEL.  I am committed to sharing expertise beyond the school, and facilitating the NPQH for the London District Teaching School.

 I am committed to fostering an environment where everyone strives to excel and grow, supported by a leadership team with a proven record of improving outcomes.

Success means different things to everyone, but for me success is students achieving the very best they are capable of and experiencing opportunities they may not have been able to have otherwise.
